Job summary

H&R Block seeks a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Kansas. No prior tax experience required; you’ll receive training from Day 1 to gather client information and prepare returns.

You’ll meet with clients, explain tax concepts, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships while supporting the team’s priorities. Evenings and weekends during peak tax season may be required; this role is in-person and offers an hourly rate with opportunities to increase

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and question-asking to understand needs.
• Problem-solving and organizing information to find solutions.
• Comfort with digital tools and AI-based assistants.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with support from teammates.
