Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in a local tax office in Apache Junction, AZ. You will meet with clients, prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates, and describe tax information clearly to help clients understand options.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, with training provided from day one and a focus on client relationships and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products/services
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach
