H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services. You’ll gather information, prepare tax returns with training, and answer questions while building client relationships. The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

No prior tax experience is required; training and support are provided from day one, with opportunities to learn and grow as you build tax knowledge and earnings through the season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
