H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to start a tax and client-services career. You’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions, with training and support from day one.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office offers a competitive hourly rate. No prior tax experience required; you will build knowledge and client relationships while contributing to office priorities through teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Excellent communication and ability to ask questions to understand needs.
• Strong problem-solving and information organization.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
