Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients gather information and prepare tax returns at a local office. No prior tax experience is required as comprehensive training is provided from day one.

You will meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, and identify potential tax savings opportunities while building strong relationships. Availability includes evenings and weekends during tax season, with a fast-changing, client-first team environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of HR Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving and information organization
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services.
• Address client questions or unique situations with guidance.
