H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. This in-person, local office role emphasizes clear explanations of tax information and identifying savings opportunities, with support to build client relationships.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to grow as you build tax knowledge. Training starts day one, no prior tax experience required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course1
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
