H&R Block's seasonal Tax Associate role offers you a path into tax and client services with training from day one. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare returns under the guidance of experienced teammates in a local office.

You’ll develop tax knowledge while building client relationships, with an hourly rate and opportunities to increase earnings as you gain experience. In-person work supports collaboration and hands-on learning during tax season.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication and questioning skills to understand client needs
• Problem-solving abilities for organizing information and solutions
• Comfort with digital tools and AI-based systems
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance and resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
