H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services with training and support from day one. You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to earn more as you grow tax knowledge. Candidates should be ready to meet clients, prepare returns, and explain tax information clearly.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
