H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person role at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training from day one and work directly with clients to gather information and prepare returns.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge. As a team member, you will meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, and identify savings opportunities while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products/services
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions
