H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services with no prior tax experience required. Training and support from day one will help you work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions in person at a local tax office.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach.
