Job summary

H&R Block in Texas is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather tax information, and prepare returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll learn as you work, with opportunities to grow knowledge and earnings through added tax knowledge. Availability includes evenings and weekends during peak season.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing service roles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving with ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products/services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to client information with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities.
