H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate in Ohio to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required; this in-person role offers an hourly rate and opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and grow in the role. Availability during tax season and some evenings/weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to address questions with guidance.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
