Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office in Wisconsin. You will meet clients, prepare returns with training, and explain tax information clearly while identifying savings opportunities. Training and support from day one help you build client relationships and grow in the role.

Hours may range from 15–35 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during peak periods, and compensation is hourly with opportunities to increase as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems included AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
