Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Wisconsin to begin a career in tax and client services. You'll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with support from experienced teammates in an in-person office.

No prior tax experience required; training provided from day one. You will earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role, while delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
