H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

This in-person role offers an entry path into tax and client services with a competitive starting hourly rate. No prior tax experience is required; you’ll learn on day one and build valuable skills while delivering accurate returns and clear explanations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service-oriented environment and interacting with customers
• Strong communication skills with clear explanations and needs assessment
• Problem-solving with organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach
