Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate for in-person support at a local tax office. You will meet clients, gather information, and begin preparing tax returns with training from experienced teammates. You will explain tax details clearly while identifying savings opportunities and offering relevant products and services.

No prior tax experience is required; you will earn a competitive hourly rate and grow tax knowledge and earnings with time. Training and support are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving abilities and information organization
• Comfort with digital tools and AI-based systems
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide actionable recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services
• Analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
