Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in person. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support start from day one.

You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns while answering questions and building client relationships. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
