Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates, and explain tax concepts clearly.

You’ll identify savings opportunities, provide product recommendations, and build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach. The role offers training from day one, with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities to increase earnings as tax

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication, including explaining information clearly and asking questions.
• Problem-solving skills with organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
