H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate for in-person work at a local tax office. You’ll start with training and support from day one, meeting clients to gather information, preparing returns, and answering questions while building strong client relationships.

The role offers an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, and is designed for peak tax season with a collaborative, client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain information clearly and understand client needs.
• Problem-solving skills to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
