Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person office role in North Carolina. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

Training is provided from day one, and you’ll build client relationships while learning tax concepts and filing processes. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential, and you will use digital tools including AI-based systems as part of service delivery.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance and resources
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
