Job summary

H&R Block in North Carolina is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to gather information, prepare returns with training from teammates, and answer questions along the way.

No prior tax experience is required; training is provided from day one. You’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role. In-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and the ability to ask questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
