H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in-person. You’ll meet with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns with training, and answer questions while building client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required, as you’ll receive training and support from day one. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach
