Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. Training is provided, and you’ll learn to identify tax savings opportunities while building client relationships.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge. Availability includes peak tax season hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course (Required).
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to address questions or unique situations.
• Comfort using AI-based tools (Copilot, ChatGPT).
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions and unique situations with guidance from resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
