Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. No prior tax experience is required—training starts day one, and you will learn as you help clients.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with earnings based on hourly pay and opportunities to increase your earnings as you gain tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax training.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products/services.
• Apply problem-solving to address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
