H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Ohio. You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one.

No prior tax experience is required, as you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and skills. This role is in-person and client-focused.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products and services.
