Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates.

Training is provided, and you’ll help explain tax concepts clearly while identifying savings opportunities to enhance client value. This role emphasizes client relationships, teamwork, and a client-first mindset, with flexible hours during peak tax season and opportunities to grow your knowledge in tax

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
