Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one.

You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates. Responsibilities include explaining tax information clearly, identifying savings opportunities, and building client relationships while supporting office priorities through teamwork and a client-first

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course (as part of role)
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
