Job summary

H&R Block in your local Ohio office is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to gather client information and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates. You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and help clients navigate tax planning with guidance and available resources.

This in-person role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work during peak seasons and build lasting client relationships

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
