Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Availability to work 15–40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends during tax season.
• Enrollment in or completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
