Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You'll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. You will explain tax concepts clearly and identify potential savings opportunities while building strong client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; training begins on day one. This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and opportunities to grow tax knowledge and earnings as you progress

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
