Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office in the United States. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support start from day one, with responsibilities including gathering client information, preparing tax returns, and answering questions while building client relationships.

You will earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you learn tax knowledge.

Qualifications

Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training.
Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information and identify solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or GED/equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services.
Address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
