Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate in California. You will meet with clients, gather tax information, and prepare returns with training from experienced teammates. You’ll explain tax details clearly and spot savings opportunities while building client relationships in an in-person office.

No prior tax experience is required; compensation is hourly and eligible for increases as you gain knowledge during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving with organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
