H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in-person. You will meet with clients, gather information, and begin preparing tax returns with support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required as training is provided; you will learn to explain tax information clearly and identify potential savings for clients while building strong relationships. Flexible hours may be offered during peak tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in a client-facing or consultative role (preferred).
• Availability to work 15–35 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during peak periods (preferred).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
