Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to collect tax information and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required as training and ongoing support are provided; you will learn to identify tax savings opportunities and explain complex concepts clearly to clients, building relationships and contributing to office goals during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
