Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required
• Must meet IRS and applicable state continuing education requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notices assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
