Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and offer clear, personalized recommendations.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including explaining tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized tax recommendations and savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and foster a positive, client-focused office environment.
