Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Advisor to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations. You will interview clients to understand their finances, provide personalized recommendations, and identify tax savings opportunities while building trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
