Qualifications

• Required: successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes for personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
