Qualifications

• Must complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1 or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand tax situations and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance to clients when needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
