Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare returns for individuals and small businesses, conduct client interviews, and identify tax savings opportunities using our training and technology.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and an incentive plan, with opportunities to grow in tax and financial services while delivering empathetic, client-focused service in a local office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tax preparation or related experience incl. individual and business returns
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Successful completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess tax implications and life changes
• Identify tax savings opportunities and cross-sell H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
