H&R Block, Inc. seeks a seasonal Tax Advisor to join a local tax office in person. You will prepare returns for clients with diverse tax situations, interview clients to understand their finances, and identify tax savings opportunities while offering HR Block products.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation or related fields, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
