Job summary

Monotelo Advisors is seeking an Experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to support our tax season workflow in the United States. The role focuses on preparing simple to complex 1040 returns and delivering high accuracy under tight seasonal timelines.

The position offers a flexible, remote-friendly arrangement with approximately 10 weeks of work, typically 24–40 hours per week, and a bonus option based on performance. You will interact with clients and handle invoicing as needed.

Qualifications

• Seasoned individual tax preparer capable of handling 1040s, simple to complex.
• Ability to identify missing information and compare with prior years; minimal corrections.
• CPA/EA preferred but not required; Drake Tax experience a plus; productivity and accuracy essential.

Experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer — $35-$65/hr with bonus option

Approximately 10 weeks during tax season. 24-40 hours a week based on employee preference and company needs.

What We're Looking For

• We are seeking an experienced individual tax preparer who can prepare simple to complex 1040s.


• We are seeking a tax preparer who can identify missing or inconsistent information, compare the return to prior years, and complete the return with minimal corrections.


• CPA or EA credentials are preferred but not required. Experience using Drake Tax is a plus. Productivity and accuracy are a must.

Schedule, Location & Compensation

• This is a seasonal position expected to run for approximately during the 2027 tax season with training beginning in mid-January. Remote work is an option. We prefer a consistent schedule with some availability during business hours.
