Job summary

Monotelo Advisors Inc. is seeking an experienced tax preparer for a seasonal role during the upcoming tax season. The position offers remote work options and a flexible schedule of 24-40 hours per week over roughly 10 weeks, with training starting in mid‑January.

The ideal candidate can handle simple to complex 1040s, verify information against prior years, and ensure accuracy and timely invoicing, with some preference for CPA/EA credentials and Drake Tax proficiency.

Experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer — $35-$65/hr with bonus option

Approximately 10 weeks during tax season. 24-40 hours a week based on employee preference and company needs.

What We're Looking For

• We are seeking an experienced individual tax preparer who can prepare simple to complex 1040s.
• We are seeking a tax preparer who can identify missing or inconsistent information, compare the return to prior years, and complete the return with minimal corrections.
• CPA or EA credentials are preferred but not required. Experience using Drake Tax is a plus. Productivity and accuracy are a must.

Schedule, Location & Compensation

This is a seasonal position expected to run for approximately during the 2027 tax season with training beginning in mid-January. Remote work is an option. We prefer a consistent schedule with some availability during business hours.
