Job summary

Physicians Regional – Surgical Services is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join the operating room team in Naples, FL. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting with patient positioning to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

The Technician will assist with instrument handling, sponge/needle counts, and inventory management while upholding infection control standards and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience with sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Ability to maintain sterile field throughout procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room setup based on procedure and physician preference card.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures and pass instruments as needed.
• Document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments for safety.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfers under RN direction.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for subsequent cases.
• Adhere to policies and maintain reliable attendance.
