Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. Oxnard is seeking general laborers to assist production, dump strawberries, and help in packaging. This is a seasonal role with hours tied to fruit availability and may require overtime during peak periods.

Responsibilities include moving crates, operating the shredder/filler lineup, and maintaining GMP compliance while safely coordinating with forklift drivers and receivers. Flexibility across shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must understand simple instructions and follow them.
• Work well with other departments to achieve quality.
• Hand and visual coordination required for position.

Responsibilities

• Move stacks of 10-13 crates towards oneself by shifting the edges alternately.
• Dump crates of strawberries into a machine.
• Operate the crate washer and ensure GMP adherence.
• Rotate through all general labor stations and learn palletizing.
