Job summary

Bridger Bowl Ski Area in Bozeman, MT seeks an enthusiastic Snowsports Instructor to teach lessons to guests of varying abilities. You will create a positive, safe, and fun learning environment, demonstrate current skiing techniques, and share knowledge of PSIA methodologies with students.

You’ll provide area information, complete timely records, attend trainings, and work with teams and individuals. Candidates must be reliable, communicate clearly with families, and comply with Bridger Bowl

Qualifications

• Ability to ski from assigned stations to the base area while demonstrating maneuvers to students throughout the duration of a lesson.
• Experience providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate clear instructions and safety information to students.

Responsibilities

• Teach lessons in a positive, safe, fun, and professional manner.
• Demonstrate contemporary and appropriate skiing skills to children and adults.
• Convey knowledge of PSIA methodology and technology to students, understanding the general concepts of the Learning Connection to a depth applicable to teaching/certification level.
• Provide area and community information to guests.
• Accurately maintain timely and legible documentation for teaching hours, attendance cards, progress cards, incident and risk management information and other documentation as directed by management.
• Attend required meetings and training seminars.
• Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students.
• Maintain a clean and orderly personal space in the locker room.
