Job summary

The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking temporary snowplow drivers with heavy equipment experience for winter road maintenance. Responsibilities include snow removal, right-of-way cleaning, and guardrail repair.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience driving heavy trucks or operating construction equipment.
• Applicants with a learner's permit have 30 days to obtain the Montana Commercial Operators License.
• Three years of documented experience preferred for Level III.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow and other heavy equipment for winter road maintenance.
• Perform traffic control, sign/luminance repair, and right-of-way cleaning.
• Assist in salt brine production and repair of guardrails/fences as needed.
