The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking temporary snowplow drivers with heavy equipment operation experience for winter road maintenance in the Bozeman area. Duties include snow removal, right-of-way cleaning, guardrail repair, sign and luminaire work, traffic control, and salt brine production.

Successful applicants must be available for emergencies, weekends, and holidays, with a season typically running from mid-November to March.

Formación

• One year of heavy truck driving or operating construction equipment.
• Valid Montana Class A CDL, Type II, with no restrictions, plus a tank endorsement and MEC.
• Learner’s permit allowed with 30 days to obtain CDL.
• Level III requires three years of road maintenance experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform snowplowing and removal with heavy equipment in the Bozeman area and other sections as needed.
• Maintain right-of-way by cleaning, fixing guardrails, fences, signs and luminaires.
• Assist with traffic control and salt brine production as required.
• Willingness to work in emergency weather conditions, weekends and holidays.
