Winter Sports, Inc. in Whitefish, MT is seeking a Snowplow CDL Truck Driver to safely operate and maintain heavy plow equipment and salt spreaders for resort-area roads and MT State secondary highway 487.

The role requires a Class B CDL, weekend work, and outdoor conditions including extreme weather. You will perform basic maintenance, coordinate with state authorities, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Two years of equipment operating and daily maintenance experience in dump trucks (26K GVWR), snowplows and front end loaders.
• Five years of plow equipment operation preferred.
• Must possess a valid Class B type 2 commercial driver’s license and insurance coverage authorization.
• Job requires weekends, holidays and possible evenings/overtime during peak times.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, sometimes extreme.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks calmly and professionally.
• Understand mechanical/electrical functions and perform basic maintenance/repairs.
• Pass post-offer DOT drug and alcohol screening.
• Subject to alcohol and controlled substances policy.
• Annual review of Motor Vehicle Division Records.
• Must have DOT health card on file and renew before expiration.
• Adhere to safety policies for heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operates dump trucks (26k GVWR), snowplows, skid steers and front end loader.
• Vehicle inspections: complete pre-trip and post-trip safety checks.
• Performs daily maintenance including fluid level checks and greasing.
• Snow removal: operate heavy plow trucks to clear routes.
• Material spreading: spread salt, sand, or anti-icing liquids.
• Coordinate snow removal with MT State Highway Department Roads Supervisor.
• Maintenance: wash and remove salt buildup after shifts.
• Communicate maintenance needs to supervisor and follow vehicle maintenance guidelines.
