Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking multiple Temporary Snow Plow Operators in and around Riverton, South Pass, Dubois, Lander and Lovell to perform winter snow plow operations and highway maintenance under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Snow and ice removal from roadways and operating winter maintenance equipment.
• Operate plow trucks with sander and chemical systems.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Must obtain Defensive Driving, First Aid/CPR, and Flagger certifications.
• Work in adverse weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and hail.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates core and complex equipment safely.
• Performs duties involved in removing snow and ice from roadways.
• Utilizes special computerized equipment.
• Flags traffic and sets up traffic control devices under limited supervision.
• Operates trucks with plows, wings, a sander, and chemical systems.
